Man Arrested, Teenage Suspect Sought in Shooting Death of Nishan Thind in Brampton

Peel police have made an arrest and are actively searching for a teenage suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Brampton resident Nishan Thind.

The incident occurred last month, and police were alerted when a shooting victim was dropped off at a local hospital on December 19. Tragically, Thind succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at the hospital.

The Peel Regional Police have been working diligently to gather information about the shooting, but the location and time of the incident remain unknown. Earlier this week, homicide investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in Brampton, leading to the arrest of 18-year-old Preetpaul Singh.

Singh has been charged with accessory after the fact to commit an indictable offense. Meanwhile, the alleged shooter, a 16-year-old boy, is still at large. A Canada-wide warrant for manslaughter has been issued for his arrest. Due to legal restrictions imposed by the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the police cannot release his name.
