According to Cook County sheriff’s police, a single-vehicle collision that occurred on Monday night in unincorporated Worth Township near Palos Heights tragically claimed the lives of three people and injured another.
The incident unfolded shortly before 11 p.m., when authorities received a distress call regarding a crash near Harlem Avenue and 135th Street. Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement discovered a 2008 Nissan pickup truck in a ravine off the road.
The 26-year-old driver and the 24-year-old passenger were discovered unconscious inside the car. Furthermore, a 26-year-old passenger who had been ejected from the truck was found to be unconscious. Sadly, police officials reported that all three of the victims had passed away at the scene.
A fourth passenger, aged 24, sustained injuries and was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
The three men’s multiple injuries from the car accident claimed their lives, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. One of the deceased, according to the office, was Denis Trochez, a 24-year-old resident of Tinley Park’s 7100 block of Laverne Lane. But as of right now, no information is available about the other two men who died because their families have not yet been informed.
