The family has asked the general public and the media to respect their privacy at this time of great sorrow, and they have refrained from sharing any additional information about the situation for the time being.
In a tragic turn of events, the several-day-long search and rescue operations were unsuccessful in locating the remaining passengers and crew members of the aircraft.
