CLAYTON, N.Y. In a tragic incident, emergency crews in Clayton, New York, responded to a distress call at the St. Lawrence River around 8 a.m. on Sunday. A shocking turn unfolded when they discovered a 2019 Ford truck had fallen through the ice.
Jefferson County Sheriff Pete Barnett revealed that the Coast Guard attempted to inspect the submerged vehicle and made a grim discovery. They found the lifeless body of 49-year-old Jeremy T. Hubbard inside the truck, creating a bizarre scene at the riverbank.
Despite their efforts, the Coast Guard faced difficulties in removing Hubbard’s body due to the treacherous icy conditions. Consequently, the State Police Underwater Recovery Team was called in, and with their expertise, they successfully recovered the deceased.
