Father of Two Shot and Killed in Goulds Neighborhood: Edward Roberts, Also Known as Fat Boy, Pronounced Dead at the Scene”

Local authorities report that a guy sadly lost his life in a drive-by shooting in the Goulds neighbourhood on Saturday.

At around eleven a.m., an incident occurred at the junction of Southwest 222nd Street and 114th Court. When officers got to the site, they saw what looked like a disturbing situation: a bicycle lying next to a yellow sheet covering the ground, as seen in the video.

According to Miami-Dade police, the victim—later identified as Edward Roberts—was shot numerous times and was declared dead at the scene.

Edward Roberts: A Life Lost Soon

In an interview with NBC6, Edward Roberts, popularly known as “Fat Boy,”‘s distraught uncle described him as a devoted father to his two sons. The nephew had communicated with the uncle just moments before the incident.

The uncle reflected on the event and stated that he believed in reaping what one sowed, but he also stressed that he had no resentment and couldn’t anticipate the future.

Seeking Justice: Crime Stoppers of Miami-Dade County

In this upsetting case, Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers has offered a $5,000 reward for any information that results in the offender’s apprehension. Regarding the shooter and the reason behind the attack, the police have not yet disclosed any information.

The authorities are pleading for anyone with information to come forward to help bring justice to Edward Roberts and his bereaved family, as the investigation into this horrific incident is still underway.
