How To Grow Mirchi Plants using Seeds
- Container Size :
You Can use 12×12 Inch Grow Bag or 24×12 Inch Grow Bag for planting Chilli Seeds.
- Soil Requirements:
Chilli Plants need moist but well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. Use soil mix with combination of Red Soil , Vermicompost and Cocopeat at a ratio of (2:1:1) . Also add 2-5% of Neem Powder to the soil mix. Neem Powder will act as fungicide.
- Sowing Seeds:
Sow 8-10 Chilli seeds with minimum spacing of 2-3 inches between each seed . Once they sprout and grow remove weak saplings . Make sure that healthy saplings will remain in the pot. Transplant the saplings.
- Light requirements:
Chilli Plants needs Full sunlight. Good amount of sunlight will help plant to grow healthy .
- Water Requirements:
Water the plants daily. If the temperature is higher than 35 Degrees water it twice . Excess watering will cause Root rot , so you need to have proper drainage system in your container . Make sure that excess water will drain properly.
- Common issues:
The Pest that attack Chilli plants are Leaf Curling and White Mealy bug . Those problems can be easily resolved using Neem Oil or Bio Insecticides. Use Bio Insecticide Guardian for removing leaf curling and White flies.
- Fertilizers: If plants are not growing well then add Poultry Manure, Mustard Cake, Bone Meal, or any other fertilizers to boost the soil.
Chilli will be ready for harvest in 65-70 days after sowing Chilli Seeds / Mirchi Seeds. Well sized Chilli will taste good.
Remember to Plant in right size containers, so that the plant can spread its roots. Chilli Seeds / Mirchi Seeds should be planted at a depth of two times the width, or diameter, of the seed. Plants must get 6 to 8 hours of sunlight.
Rich, moist soil results in healthier plants. Healthy plants suffer from fewer disease and pest problems. If you find any pest immediately treat them with the Neem Oil spay or other organics sprays.

Also Prune the plants to protect against pests and diseases, and promotes strong growth. It primarily involves removing dead, diseased and loose branches that prevent the trees from flourishing.
