In a devastating incident on Wednesday evening, a 75-year-old man lost his life after crashing his vehicle into a residential property in Crawfordsville, Montgomery County.
The authorities from the Crawfordsville Police Department swiftly responded to a distress call at approximately 5:26 p.m., reporting a vehicle collision with a home in the 1300 block of East Main Street.
Upon arrival, the officers were confronted with a distressing scene. The front end of a 2005 Lincoln Town Car, colored tan, had penetrated the front portion of the house. Thankfully, none of the occupants inside the home suffered any injuries.
The driver, identified as Roger Hamilton, was immediately rushed to the Franciscan Health Hospital in Crawfordsville for urgent medical attention. However, tragically, he succumbed to his injuries sustained during the crash and passed away.
During this distressing incident, the Crawfordsville Fire Department and the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office provided invaluable assistance to the authorities on the scene.
