Fourth Suspect Wanted in Capital Murder Case

Detectives from various law enforcement agencies have been working tirelessly to bring justice to the Capital Murder of Steven Santillan. Today, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office announced that they have identified a fourth suspect in connection with the case. Anthony Lawrence Green is now wanted on an active warrant for Capital Murder.

Investigators have been working diligently to piece together the events surrounding the tragic incident that took place on January 25, 2024. At approximately 3:20 a.m., authorities received a distress call from a woman who reported that three masked men had entered her home on Morgan Cemetery Road in Cleveland, Texas, and shot her husband multiple times before fleeing the scene.

Swift action by the Splendora Police Department led to the capture of two suspects. Officers spotted a vehicle occupied by three males driving at a high rate of speed and followed them to a nearby gas station. While two of the suspects managed to escape, one was apprehended at the gas station. A pursuit ensued, ending in a crash at U.S. 59 and Fostoria Road, where the remaining suspects were taken into custody after a brief foot chase.

The three suspects already in custody have been identified as Andre Franklin, Derrick Wilson, and Jose Gutierrez, all from Houston, Texas. All three have extensive criminal records for violent offenses and are being charged with Capital Murder. The deceased victim has been identified as 37-year-old Steven Santillan from Montgomery County, Texas.
