Medical examiners from San Diego have revealed the identity of the second individual involved in a tragic car accident in Chula Vista on the 30th of December. The victim was identified as 60-year-old Anaheim resident, Jose Isabel Sandoval Salgado.
Details of the Chula Vista Accident
Sandoval Salgado and his wife Veronica were travelling southbound on the SR-805 highway, just days before the onset of the New Year. Their vehicle, a Nissan SUV, unexpectedly veered off the freeway overpass and plummeted onto Naples Street, for reasons that remain unclear to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Medical Response and Condition of the Victims
Following the incident, Sandoval Salgado was rushed to the UCSD Medical Center’s Emergency Department. His wife, unfortunately, was pronounced dead at the scene. Sandoval Salgado was reported to be in a critical condition with numerous blunt force injuries. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, he succumbed to his injuries on January 15th.
